About our turbo parts

Ultimate Autoparts SA supplies turbocharger parts and diesel fuel injection parts from Krugersdorp, with delivery across South Africa.

Our turbochargers and turbo cores are aftermarket parts, sold under the brand Hatach Turbo. On our turbo range, the part numbers in a listing (for example a Garrett, BorgWarner or Holset number) tell you which original part the product replaces. They do not mean the product was made by that manufacturer.

What is a turbo core (cartridge)?

A turbo core, also called a cartridge or CHRA, is the centre section of a turbocharger: the shaft and turbine wheel, the compressor wheel, the bearings and seals, and the centre housing. It is the part that wears out.

A core does not include the turbine (exhaust) housing, the compressor (inlet) housing or the actuator. It is the right buy when your existing housings and actuator are still in good condition. Fitting one means transferring your own housings across and having the assembly balanced and set up correctly, which is workshop work. Choosing the right part

Engine size or vehicle model alone is not enough to identify a turbo or an injector, because the same engine was often fitted with more than one version.

  • For a turbo, find the number stamped on the plate of your existing turbocharger.
  • For an injector, find the number printed on the body of your existing injector.
  • Check that number against the part numbers listed on the product page, and confirm your engine code.

Warranty

Warranty is available on turbos and injectors:

  • Turbos: 4 months from the date of purchase, against manufacturing faults.
  • Injectors: 6 months from the date of purchase, against manufacturing faults. Injector claims require a stamped test report from an accredited agent.

The warranty excludes foreign object ingestion, lack of lubrication, oil contamination, and overspeed and excessive temperature. For any other part, please ask us before ordering.

Returns

You have 2 days (48 hours) to return an unused, unopened item in its original packaging to our Krugersdorp shop if you ordered the wrong part or changed your mind. If you send it back by courier instead, the courier cost is yours. Faults are covered by the warranty, not the return window.

Prices and delivery

Prices on our website are shown excluding VAT. VAT at 15% is added at checkout.

Delivery within South Africa is added at checkout, by province:

  • Gauteng: R180
  • KwaZulu-Natal: R255
  • Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West: R285
  • Eastern Cape and Northern Cape: R300
  • Western Cape: R345

For orders to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and Zambia, or any other country outside South Africa, no delivery is charged at checkout. We will contact you with shipping options.
