A common-rail diesel injector matched to the Denso injector sold under Toyota number 23670-30300 (Denso 095000-7761), for the 2.5-litre 2KD-FTV D-4D diesel in the Toyota Hilux and Hiace. The injector delivers fuel into the cylinder at very high pressure, several times per combustion stroke. When it wears, the 2KD-FTV typically becomes hard to start, idles roughly, smokes on start-up or under load, knocks, or loses power and economy.
Injectors are usually replaced as a set of four rather than one at a time. Common-rail injectors on this engine may need to be coded to the engine computer when they are changed, so fitting is best done by a diesel workshop.

- Check the engine code. It is stamped on the engine block and usually shown on the vehicle’s registration papers. It must read 2KD-FTV — the 3.0-litre 1KD-FTV uses a different injector.
- Look at the top of your existing injector. The Denso number is printed on it: check it reads 095000-7761 (or 095000-7760), or that your parts invoice shows Toyota 23670-30300.
- If your number is different — for example a Denso number starting 095000-8 — do not assume this injector is interchangeable. Contact us first.
